I have been working for the Democracy Center since early 2011, and am mostly based in Brighton, UK. Over the years I have been a writer, editor, youth worker, media manager, public speaker and trainer as well as a mother, cyclist, theatre reviewer, swimmer, reader and activist. I volunteer with Brighton Migrant Solidarity and am a trustee for youth arts participation organisation Upstart Projects. Most of my work for the Center is focused around editorial and communications. I am amazed how our politics remains so nationally-defined when our lives are so globally determined.
