Online discussions between human rights defenders

The Organization New Tactics in Human Rights holds regular facilitated online conversations which take place over several days, with a number of invited leaders on an area or topic, and open to anyone to join in via an open comment forum. Previous conversation topics include The power of music and visual art as protest, Creating and sustaining awareness of LGBTQI rights, and Advancing access to education for refugees.

In late 2017 a Conversation took place on Climate Justice: Embracing a Just Transition:

Utilizing diverse case studies that center the voices of marginalized groups and their efforts to integrate their role into context-specific articulations of the Just Transition movement, communities around the globe will have the opportunity to share how their individual movements are helping contribute to a transformative internal and external redefining of humanity’s relationship with the environment.

In this conversation, we seek to discuss the strategies used by activists and stakeholders for effective organizing towards just transitions and reimagine the role of inclusivity in sustainable futures.

The discussion threads can be accessed via the topic threads below the description.

The New Tactics website also has a searchable database of Tactics, has developed their own Strategy Toolkit, and offers Trainings.  Their content is available in multiple languages.
